After five years together, Mike proposed to Maddie at the Ocean Club of Florida, where they ended up kicking off their wedding weekend with a welcome party with all of their family and friends. For Maddie and Mike, planning their wedding was more than just planning an event. They set out to thoughtfully bring together the details of their day, with meaning behind each decision. Their design itself, with hues of pinks, purple, and greens, had much more meaning than meets the eye. Every subtle butterfly or purple detail was nod to her sister who passed just over a year prior.
Wanting to be a classic yet true-to-them wedding, Maddie opted for an Alex Perry wedding dress with a classic silhouette from Ultimate Bride for the ceremony thn changed after dinner into a custom minidress by Markarian for dancing.
On their wedding day, officiated by a family friend, Maddie walked down the aisle with her brother Johnny, sharing a humorous moment as her veil danced in the wind.
Their ceremony was heartfelt, romantic, and filled with laughter as they wrote nearly identical lines in their personal vows. Maddie’s brother walked her down the aisle and a dear family friend officiated the ceremony.
Maddie and Mike’s dog, Bodie, couldn’t join for the festivities so Maddie’s mom came to us to help bring her into the celebration! We decided to create a moss version of Bodi to welcome guests into the reception and Maddie and Mike couldn’t get enough of the surprise. Dinner was filled with laughter and heartfelt speeches, romantic candlelight, and lush florals.
Gold Coast All Stars packed the dance floor and the night ended with Maddie and her siblings belting Taylor Swift All Too Well at the top of their lungs and late-night bites of mini deep dish pizzas and cheese curds.
