5 Commonly Forgotten Wedding Details

When you’ve been swimming in wedding details for months it’s easy to forget the simple (and sometimes obvious) things you’ll need for your big day. Here is my list of 5 things I often see couples forgetting!

  1. Pens for Your Guest Book

    • This is one of the most commonly forgotten items! Make sure to not only have pens but also test them out and make sure they work on your guest book if you have a unique material or specialty paper.

  2. Breakfast & Lunch for your bridal party

    • You & your fiance may be too jittery to eat a lot on your wedding day but your bridal party won’t be. Make sure to take care of them so they can hype up all day long. The best options are small bites that can be available throughout the morning during hair and makeup.

  3. Vendor Meals

    • Just like your bridal party, you want to take care of your vendors, not to mention a hot meal will be in most of their contracts. When you give your caterer your final guest count, don’t forget to confirm with your vendors how many meals they will need. Typically the counts will be close to the following: Entertainment 10-15, Photo & Video 2-4, Planner 2-4, and any other vendors that will be present for more than 5-6 hours on the wedding day.

  4. Someone to take your personal items home

    • You probably won’t want to take all of your gifts, decor, & extra wedding cake with you on your honeymoon so make sure to designate your mom, Maid of Honor, or trusted friend to bring everything back to your house after the wedding.

  5. Details for Photos

    • Any personal items you’d like your photographer to capture you’ll want to set aside before the wedding day. Typically the items on this list are veil, perfume, rings, shoes, 2 invitation suites, and any other family heirlooms. These will be the first things your photographer with capture once they arrive on your wedding day!
